Hello from the Sunshine State!

My love for Marketing began in 9th grade, when I had the opportunity to be on the Girl Scouts of West Central Florida press pass team for the 2019 NCAA Women's Final Four. The behind the scenes opportunities in marketing, social media, interviews, mentoring and preparations for 20 weeks prior to the event were incredible.

 

One event that still stands out to me was walking in the Kids Gasparilla Parade. Female youth basketball players dribbled down the road tossing colorful beads at the joyful kids and adults. As I snapped pictures to capture the moment, I was able to see the story come to life. Afterwards, I sat down at my computer and described this experience for the Press Pass blog. I loved creating a story for individuals who did not attend and I wanted them to feel like they were there at that moment.

This unique experience meant the most to me because I fell in love with what I was learning and decided I wanted to pursue marketing in college.
